| Bio: | For many anglers, fishing is a hobby. For Capt. Jamie Goodwin, fishing is a career. Jamie grew up in Tampa, and each of the flats and reef in and around the area is familiar to him. Guiding more than 300 days a year, Jamie is also considered one of the area’s top a tournament anglers. As a tournament angler, Jamie won the 1999 Tarpon Tide Tournament in Boca Grande, a first place in the 2000 Chuck Lamar Mercury Grand Slam tournament, first place in the 2004 Open Pro Redfish. Jamie, and teammate, Jeff Hagaman, won two tournaments in the 2005 Professional Tarpon Tournament Series, including the series’ Team of the Year. Another victory came in the first annual FLW Redfish Tournament held in Sarasota in 2006. Jamie’s tournament participation has yielded significant editorial coverage, including more than 160 television and media appearances, feature segments on the Chevy Florida Fishing Report, as well as attendance at hundreds of dealer events, boat shows and marine industry expos. Jamie, and several Team Century anglers, is the feature of a reality television series called Tarpon of Boca, on the Outdoor Channel. |
