The FLETC serves as an interagency law enforcement training organization for 83 Federal agencies. The Center also provides services to state, local, and international law enforcement agencies. A range of students pass through the training program in Glynco, GA, including individuals from the Environmental Protection Agency, Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives, state wildlife and fisheries departments, U.S. Park Police, U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service, National Park Service, U.S. Secret Service, U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement, U.S. Border Patrol, U.S. Coast Guard, Federal Emergency Management Agency, Food and Drug Administration, among others. Mike fishes several local inshore fishing tournaments, and helps to organize the annual Two-Way Sport Fishing Club Fishing Rodeo, benefiting the Special Olympics. Each year, approximately 200 participants from the Glynn County School System and the Morning Star Baptist Treatment Center enjoy a full day of fishing, softball, horseback riding, and other activities at the FLETC training campus in Glynco. |
