Bio:

Ozzie is one of the most well known, well-respected and successful charter guides and tournament anglers in the Ft. Myers/Naples area. Ozzie has been fishing tournaments for almost 15 years, and has become a household name from his many television show appearances.

Ozzie’s comfort level goes beyond inshore fishing, as his charter services offer both inshore and offshore fishing. Geography is not a concern either, as Ozzie spends much of his time fishing and guiding in the Florida Keys as well.

During the 2001 tournament season, Ozzie scored three wins, including the Edison Big Snook, the Summer Slam Invitational and the Cracker Invitational. In 2002, he saw similar success, with victories in the Tarpon Tide Tournament and the Colusa Catch and Release - winning both tournaments on the same day.

In 2003, his team was named the World Tarpon Championship Series Team of the Year, in addition to victories in the Cracker Invitational and the Sportsman Weekend Redfish Invitational.

In 2007, Fischer’s team scored a victory in the Professional Tarpon Tournament Series, successfully weighing and releasing a 206- pound tarpon. During that same year, Fischer scored a victory in the 10h Annual Hog’s Breath King Mackerel Tournament held in Key West.

Ozzie averages approximately 420 charters annually, and has more than 50 top-five tournament finishes since 2001.

April 2008 - Team Century’s “Ozzies” Win Ft. Myers Beach Kingfish Shootout - Anglers Team with Local Century Dealer to Break SKA Record

Team Century's Ozzie Fischer and Ozzie Lessinger won this weekend’s Ft. Myers Beach Kingfish Shootout, partnering with local Century dealer, Wolcott Marine, and breaking a Southern Kingfish Association (SKA) record for the highest two-day aggregate weight for two fish.

On the first day of competition, the team, fishing from their 3200 Center Console with Yamaha's new F350s, brought to the scale a massive kingfish weighing 56.14 pounds, and taking an early lead in the heaviest fish tournament. On the second day of the tournament, the team weighed in a 56.27-pound kingfish, giving the team the victory and breaking the SKA record. With the victory, the team took home a $20,000 first place prize.
