Bio:

Ozzie, well known for his West Coast fly fishing skills, has been guiding full-time for more than 15 years from the Ft. Myers/Naples area, with his charter services based out of Captiva Island.

Ozzie has more than 20 tournament victories to his name, including two top-five finishes on the FLW Redfish Tour. In 2007, Ozzie, fishing with fellow Team Century teammate, Ozzie Fischer, scored a victory in the Professional Tarpon Tournament Series, successfully weighing and releasing a 206-pound tarpon. During that same year, Ozzie, fishing again with Fischer, scored a victory in the 10h Annual Hog’s Breath King Mackerel Tournament held in Key West. Ozzie will begin his second year fishing the ESPN Redfish Cup with Team Century Capt. Jeff Totten.

April 2008 - Team Century’s “Ozzies” Win Ft. Myers Beach Kingfish Shootout - Anglers Team with Local Century Dealer to Break SKA Record

Team Century's Ozzie Fischer and Ozzie Lessinger won this weekend’s Ft. Myers Beach Kingfish Shootout, partnering with local Century dealer, Wolcott Marine, and breaking a Southern Kingfish Association (SKA) record for the highest two-day aggregate weight for two fish.

On the first day of competition, the team, fishing from their 3200 Center Console with Yamaha's new F350s, brought to the scale a massive kingfish weighing 56.14 pounds, and taking an early lead in the heaviest fish tournament. On the second day of the tournament, the team weighed in a 56.27-pound kingfish, giving the team the victory and breaking the SKA record. With the victory, the team took home a $20,000 first place prize.

April 2008 - Team Century’s “Totten and Lessinger Place 10th in Oh Boy! Oberto Redfish Cup event in Punta Gorda

Team Century's Jeff Totten and Ozzie Lessinger recently earned a top ten finish in the Oh Boy! Oberto Redfish Cup event in Punta Gorda, the first tournament of the season. The team, running a Century 2202 Inshore, weighed in a two-day total of 22.44 lbs., winning the team $7,000.
