Boat Assembler

Duties and Responsibilities:

Performs a variety of sub-assembly and final-assembly tasks, such as installing below deck and deck hardware, live wells, bilge assembly, and through-hull assembly. Performs inspection and troubleshoots problems to ensure compliance with quality standards.

Desired Skills and Experience:

  • High School or GED equivalent
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills
  • 3 to 5 years of Assembly experience, a plus, will train.
  • Carpentry or similar experience a plus.
  • Own your hand tools a plus.
  • Ability to use small hand tools, both electrical and air powered, required.
  • Ability to bend, stoop, kneel, and lift objects up to approximately 50 lbs., on a repetitive basis, required.
  • Ability to climb in and out of boats using a stepladder, required.

Fiberglass Gelcoat Finish Tech (Patcher)

Duties and Responsibilities:

Performs a variety of fiberglass gelcoat tasks, such as , patch and detail Gelcoat on hulls, decks etc. Performs inspection and troubleshoots problems to ensure compliance with quality standards.

  • 3 to 5 years of Fiberglass & Gelcoat experience, a plus, will train.

Mold Builder & Prototype Technician

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

Century Boats is looking for Mold Builders and Tooling Technicians. Our ideal candidate will have previous experience in a boat builder’s R&D or Tooling department. Technicians will perform a variety of tasks including plug/molding building, mold maintenance, jig & fixturing, and design mockups. Position is full time. Hourly compensation.

DESIRED SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

  • Fiberglass molding and manufacturing experience 
  • Fiberglass repair and finishing experience
  • Fiberglass R&D tooling experience
  • Ability to read and understand blueprints/build drawings
  • Ability to use general shop tools – hand, power, pneumatic specifically relating to finishing
  • Ability to bend, kneel, climb, and lift objects up to 50lbs on a repetitive basis, required
